Important announcement for all bank customers - Aion Bank becomes UniCredit

We are excited to inform all customers of Aion Bank that from 6 October onwards we will provide our services under the brand Unicredit, with refreshed visual identity in our app, website, and communication tools. 

Thank you for your continued trust. While our name and design may look different, our commitment to transparent, simple banking remains the same. With the backing of one of the strongest European banking groups, we are strongly committed to provide our valued customers with an even more convenient banking experience. 

Please be assured that this change has no impact for you and you do not need to take any specific action. 

What stays the same

• Your account number will not change.
• Our services, pricing, and app features remain exactly as they are today and you can continue to use your mobile app.
• You can continue to use your existing cards until expiry date. New cards will have UniCredit as the brand.
• Your funds continue to be held securely and your savings continue to be covered by  the Belgian Deposit Guarantee Scheme up to €100,000.

What is changing

• Our official name changes from the Aion Bank NV/SA into the UniCredit NV/SA. You will find this name in all our official documents and correspondence with you. If you want to be sure that you are dealing with us, you can easily verify our official address Sq. Victoria Régina 1, 1210 Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, Belgium, and our company number BE403.199.306. Both of them are staying the same. 
• We will use “UniCredit” instead of “Aion Bank” in all our communication with you. 
• Our app and website will have a new look and the name Aion will be replaced by Unicredit. 
• If you want to download our mobile app or upgrade it, you will find it available via the App Store and Google Play. As of 06.10.2025 search for UniCredit and look for the app name UniCredit BE. We will request you to upgrade your app in the next few weeks into the new app version. There is no need to take any action now, we will timely inform you. 
• Our  website will be: www.unicredit.be. In case you visit our old website www.aion.be, you will be automatically redirected to our new website www.unicredit.be.
